Memorial for Susumu Tonegawa

Please join The Picower Institute for Learning and Memory as we come together for an intimate local community memorial to honor the life of Susumu Tonegawa on Friday, October 16. We invite you to share your favorite stories, photos, and memories in person in MIT Building 46, followed by a reception with food and beverages. MIT has established The Susumu Tonegawa Memorial Fund as a tribute to the legacy of this great scientist whose groundbreaking discoveries reshaped our understanding of both the immune system and the brain. This fund will support curiosity-driven basic research in the scientific community he founded: The Picower Institute of Learning and Memory.
